Edge sealing set
This edge sealing set can be used for film installations outdoors. This prevents the film edge from peeling off the window pane and increases the durability of the film.
We recommend its use especially for sloped glazing (e.g. skylights), where rainwater can collect more easily at the lower edge of the window. Without edge sealing, this rainwater can soak up under the film due to capillary action and weaken the film adhesive. The service life of an externally applied film can therefore be reduced without edge sealing.

Bei der verwendeten Randversiegelungsset empfiehlt sich grundsätzlich eine erste Überprüfung etwa nach 12 Monaten. Danach sollten regelmäßige Kontrollen idealerweise einmal jährlich erfolgen – insbesondere in stark beanspruchten Bereichen (z. B. Dachfenster, starker Wetterexposition) kann auch eine halbjährliche Sichtprüfung sinnvoll sein. Dies entspricht gängigen Empfehlungen zur Wartung von Silikon-/Fugenversiegelungen.
