Sun protection prevents a room from getting too warm
SQUID® keeps out some of the sun's heat and is therefore a good solution for all windows that are exposed to strong sunlight. Even the most intense sunlight and extreme humidity cannot harm the material. Since, in contrast to sun protection film, it is a breathable material, SQUID® is also suitable for HR++(+) glass or laminated glass.
Important when handling this product
The textile fabric SQUID® is coated with a sensitive adhesive. The ordered product must therefore be unpacked and unrolled immediately after arrival at the customer's premises. If the product remains rolled up, the adhesive may come off the textile fabric and SQUID® will no longer adhere to the glass. We therefore cannot accept any complaints in this respect.
Cleaning - do's and don'ts:
- Dust can be removed with a lint-free cloth or a hoover with a brush. Make sure that the brush is clean.
- If dust particles do not come off easily, a sticky roller/lint remover like the one used for clothes can be used.
- Light stains such as mud can be removed with water and a microfibre cloth.
- Heavier stains can often be removed with a water-based/solvent-free cleaning solution. Due to the wide variety, it is recommended to test the product on a small area.
- Do not clean SQUID® with a wet sponge, steam or water jet, it may lose its adhesive properties.
- Do not remove and/or wash the product as the adhesive will lose its strength and cannot be reapplied.
- If a window is partially covered with SQUID®, clean the part that is not covered with SQUID® with a microfibre cloth and a window cleaning solution such as our Surface & Glass Cleaner. Be careful not to use too much glass cleaner as this may stain the fabric.
Note on cut edges
Due to the production process, some ends of the fabric may protrude at the edge of a textile fabric film in the form of minimal threads. These threads were not neatly caught and cut during the cutting process. Please do not pull on these ends, but carefully cut off protruding threads with fine scissors if necessary.
Complaints resulting from a sporadically unclean cut edge of the film are not grounds for complaint.
Manufacturer's warranty
Squid® has a minimum shelf life of 5 years, under the condition of correct installation and normal use. Caution and compliance with maintenance instructions are recommended to ensure durability.

Assembly instructions for textile fabric foils
First of all, an important note on handling
As this product is a textile fabric, it is unavoidable that individual threads may protrude at the edge. These threads must not be pulled off under any circumstances, as this will damage the edge of the textile fabric film. Carefully cut off the protruding threads with scissors. Complaints resulting from this cannot be accepted by us, as our quality control checks each individual film for integrity of the edges.The most important commandments of textile fabric mounting
- It is always a dry installation. Do not apply moisture or water.
- Do not stretch the textile fabric film too much. Stretching permanently deforms the material. Rather, let the adhesive textile slide gently onto the window.
- Never try to press out bubbles. Rather, remove the textile fabric where bubbles have formed and let it slide back onto the window to realign it.
- When the window hanging is in place, activate the adhesive by pressing the textile fabric film firmly once horizontally and once vertically (10 kg).
You need the following things
- Window cleaning utensils (not included)
- Glass cleaner (not included in delivery) or commercially available glass cleaner
- Mounting squeegee hard and Glass scraper blade (included free of charge in the delivery)
The assembly is as simple as this

Thoroughly clean the glass pane or the surface to be glued with standard glass cleaner or our glass cleaner! Remove all adhesive particles (e.g. paint or fly droppings), preferably with the Glass scraper blade. No dirt residue should remain on the glass! |

Peel off the backing film approx. 15 cm from the textile fabric film and fold it over. |
| 3. |
Align the textile fabric film precisely at the top of the window in the corners and attach it. Apply light pressure to the glass surface. Continue to peel off the backing film in approx. 15 cm sections from top to bottom and spread the textile fabric onto the glass from the centre outwards. |

If bubbles or wrinkles appear, peel off the textile fabric film without tensioning it upwards until the area of bubbles or wrinkles is loosened (A). |

Lightly reapply the textile fabric film to the window while painting the fabric by hand or with a squeegee. Never press wrinkles or bubbles outwards with squeegee, this may cause permanent deformation of the textile. |

When the textile fabric film has been applied to the window without bubbles or wrinkles, press down firmly with the squeegee supplied (approx. 10 kg pressure). Work from the centre of the window outwards (horizontally and vertically, see arrows), also the edges and corners, to activate the adhesive. Adhesive activation is a prerequisite to avoid bubble formation. |

The installation is then complete. |
